Enchanting England

As the summer approaches, I find myself constantly thinking of where I could spend my summer holidays. It doesn't help that at the moment I am watching The Durrells, so most of my time is spent daydreaming about upping sticks for a better life in Corfu, where I could spend my time island hopping across the Ionian Sea. Sadly, this is just a daydream (for now!).

Despite daydreaming about travelling to more exotic locations, sometimes all you need is a sunny day to remind you of how beautiful and enchanting home can be...and for me, home is England.

In the last few weeks, I feel as though I have been nipping back and forth across the country, visiting family and friends across England. It just so happens that during this time, after what felt like the longest winter ever, the sun started to shine again...and my goodness, we were ready for some sunshine!

Within the last month, I've visited London, Essex, Cheshire, Ilkley, Oxford, Manchester to name but a few. Although all are in England, they are very different and each has it's own charm. Visiting these destinations has reaffirmed my belief that you don't always have to go that far to travel...

I know I'm probably biased, but how pretty is the countryside when the sun starts to shine?

  1. This is soooo true, sometime I need to remind myself that you can be 'travelling' as soon as you step outside your door! Amazing pictures and it looks like the English weather has been good to you too! Loved this post girl, keep it up! x

    1. Thank you for reading! I was definitely lucky with the weather!! x

  2. Love this, great pix. You often forget how many great places are on your doorstep, I'm definitely going to try to see more of the UK.

    1. Thank you! I thought the same - there is so much to see in the UK, we're so lucky!
