London isn't really a 'holiday' destination for me, it's more of a weekend away with friends. I was in London last weekend and I just love, love, love it! There is something that I really enjoy about wandering aimlessly around a city, the anonymity of it. One of my favourite things about London is how much history the city has. I love that you can just walk around the corner and be met with so many famous landmarks, so many of which have seen such important events. I had a couple of spare hours when I was there was weekend and I saw so much: the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye.

Where is London?
London is the capital city of England, located in the South East of the country.

Where did you stay?
When I visit London, I tend to stay with friends but there are SO many places to stay.

How much did it cost?
London is notoriously expensive. On average, a pint of beer is just under £4. However, you can definitely do London cheaply. Last summer, my friends and I spent the most wonderful day in Hyde Park and it hardly cost us anything...we went to the local supermarket and bought a picnic and some drinks and split it between us. You can buy a day ticket for the tube for either £12 - £17 (depending on which zones you need to be in) which allows you to travel an unlimited amount of times during that day.

What is there to do?
Like most cities, London has a little bit (or a lot) of everything. There is the perfect blend of history, sport, culture and attractions to satisfy all!
